烈日焰火

Passionate as Scorching Sun & Splendid as Fireworks

子棋是我的同鄉，相識已有很多年矣。近日，聞子棋欲出畫冊，倍感欣慰，故不揣冒昧，遂述說隻言片語，聊表此刻心情。子棋的畫路很寬，表達手法也多種多樣。時而高山大川，宇宙洪荒，時而小橋流水，細雨荷塘。既有雪月風花，也有哲意抽象。子棋的畫表達手法多種多樣，時而油畫，時而漆畫，時而綜合材料，不一而足。每當餘觀其作品時，總有一種澎湃之感在胸中鼓動，如烈日般熾熱，彷彿觸控到了作者蓬勃的心跳，旺盛的活力帶著你一起升騰燃燒；而他的畫面卻又處理得異常的冷靜，撲朔迷離，一股神秘的氣息，在幽幽中閃爍著迷一樣的光芒。我很喜歡他對畫面整體的處理，手法概括，利落，而不糾纏於細節；情感細膩，而不拖泥帶水。所有的這一切就像是午夜的焰火，色彩斑斕，瑰麗萬千。

Ziqi and I are from the same town and I’ve known him for years。 I heard the other day that Ziqi will have an album of paintings to be published。 Gratified and delighted at the news， I’d like to take the liberty to convey my best wishes to him。 Ziqi’s paintings are characterized by all-embracing subjects ranging from magnificent ones like lofty mountains， broad rivers and vast universe to modest ones like small bridges， flowing streams， fine rains and lotus ponds， exploring a variety of themes as beautiful as romance and as abstract as philosophy。 As regards the methods of expression， he’s not limited to oil painting or lacquer art or mixed-media painting。 Each time I look at his works， I feel an upsurge of emotions as overwhelming as the scorching sun。 It just feels like that I’ve sensed the artist’s heartbeat， so vigorous and so vibrant that draws you in。 On the other hand， the pictures were handled with extreme calmness， giving off a mysterious sense and glistening in silence。 I like the way he handles the overall pictures。 They are brief and neat without being particular to petty details， and yet they reveal subtle emotions in a genuine and natural way。 All these are like the fireworks at midnight， colorful and magnificent。

我很難用材料把他歸類成哪類畫家，他是一個感情豐富，喜歡獨立思考的青年才俊。高高大大，十分文靜，平時其話語很少，顯得很是內斂。這和他的畫面形成巨大的反差，他的畫充滿張力，霸氣，這似乎是不像是出自文弱男孩的手筆，但也正是這樣的矛盾，才構成了迷一樣的畫面和多彩絢爛的生活。多才而自律，重情肩道義。對於作品嚴肅認真，不做作，不浮躁，以心作畫，畫如其人。

It’s difficult to classify him in terms of the painting materials he used。 He’s undoubtedly a young talented artist。 Tall， sensitive and introverted， he’s not much a talker， which is quite the opposite of his paintings。 You’d never imagine that those tenacious and ambitious paintings are from such a gentle man。 However， it was such contradiction that creates the mysterious pictures and the brilliant life。 He’s a man of talent， discipline and integrity。 He paints with heart and soul in a serious， genuine and calm way。 It’s fair to say， the painting is the man。

在當下，世人紛紛攘攘，皆為利謀，很少有人能安下心做藝術了。對於子棋還能靜下心畫畫，追求自己的理想，不負於己，不欺於人的精神，深表佩服。在此為序，並祝畫展成功！

Jostling and joyous， the whole world comes after profit； racing and rioting， after profit the whole world goes！ In such a world where few people could get immersed in art， Ziqi never stopped painting or gave up his dream。 Neither did he let himself or others down。 I admire him for this。 Wish the exhibition a great success！
