《海盜Pat》
The night was cold， the sky was black， the window rattled…
夜晚涼涼的，天黑黑的，窗被吹得嘎嘎響…
tap tap tap。
聽！門外有人！
“There’s someone there， I’m sure of it！ Sam， do stop barking。”
外面有人，我敢肯定！Sam，別叫了。
Sit Sam sit。
Sam！快坐下！
Well， we were scared， but not our Gran。 She went to look：
我們可是害怕極了，但是奶奶不怕。她去看了看，說：
It is a man。
是一個男人。
A tattered coat， a huge black hat… Look-it’s a pirate！
一件破破爛爛的外套，頭戴一頂大黑帽…看！是海盜！
I am Pat。
我是Pat。
Pat hunted in his heavy pack。 What has he found？
Pat在他的袋子裡翻呀翻，翻呀翻。他找到了什麼呢？
It is a map。
是一張地圖。
“But that’s my home！” says Gran。 “Look， lad， you can’t just dig here。”
地圖上有一個小木屋。“但這是我家呀！”奶奶說，“小夥子，你可不能在這兒挖寶藏。”
Pat is sad。
Pat 不開心了。
He starts to frown。 Ooh， this looks bad！ Gran says， “I mean it！”
Pat皺緊了眉頭。呀！大事不好！奶奶說：“我是認真的！”
Pat is mad。
Pat生氣了。
But does he listen？ Not a bit！ Now look at him。
可他是海盜呀！他怎麼會聽呢！你看看他：
Pat in a pit。
Pat在坑裡挖呀挖。
A bang， a clang， what has he hit？ A treasure chest！ Pat shouts。
叮叮噹噹，他挖到了什麼？是寶箱！Pat高興地大叫：
I did it！
我找到啦！
Well done Pirate Pat！
幹得漂亮！Pat！
Pat！
Pat！
Pat！
