在“網際網路+”時代”，學習英語早已經不再是那種你只需“依賴”中文學習、理解和記憶，直接從“老師”那裡得到你“想知道”的英語，尤其是那種很具備誘惑性字眼，如：地道實用的英語。從理念更新上看，現在更意味著你是否具備“熟練運用”英語在Yahoo等英文搜尋引擎上找到你本來只能從“老師”那裡才能“學到”的英語。
換句話說：學會一句英語不再重要，“怎樣學”同樣的英語才重要：一個不能“把學過的英語用起來”學習“新”英語的人，理念和思維永遠還是停留在上個世紀的學習方法上，就好比海灣戰爭美國人給伊拉克“上了一堂課”一樣。
今天我們來聊一聊，我們在脫離了英語語言環境下，在沒有“老師”可隨時請教的情況下，僅僅利用英文Yahoo的“探索、發現、求證”，運用“已知”英語，自己解決“未知”的英語“怕老婆”，“妻管嚴”怎麼說？
一、把學過的“已知”英語用起來
就算我們的英語“再爛”，把英語“怕老婆”，“妻管嚴”說成be afraid of his wife，我想都應該“會說”（如果連這個都不會，這麼“早早”地“急著”用中文“學並懂得”這樣的英語沒有意義，三天不到，忘得一乾二淨，跟沒學沒區別）
不過，從看一個人運用Yahoo“探索發現求證”的熟練程度上看，我一般不是簡單地用be afraid of his wife去搜索，我們“拓展”一下，說一句Yahoo“機器人”更能幫我精確查詢的英語：Why many husbands are afraid of their wives這句英語。
也就是說，在你想“得到”答案之前，已經充分考驗了你英語“運用自如”的能力。這正是武術裡說的“槍挑兩頭”的意思。
