倍數的表達
①
用“times”表示倍數
（一般限於包括基數在內
三倍或三倍以上
的數）
例子：
⑴There are
seven times
as many people as l expected。
⑵ There are
nine times
more books in his bag than in yours。
⑶ This bridge is
three times
as long as that one。
① 用“times”表示倍數 （一般限於包括基數在內三倍或三倍以上的數）
② 表示
兩倍
，一般
用 twice 或 double
；表示
一倍
，一般
用once
例子：
⑴ She‘s
twice/double
my age。
⑵This room is
twice
as large as that one。
⑶ I’m not going out with a man who‘s
twice
as old as me。
② 表示兩倍，一般用 twice 或 double；表示一倍，一般用once
倍數的表達句型結構：
① 倍數+
as+形容詞或副詞的原級+as
+被比物件：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
例子：
⑴ This table is
three times
as long as that one
。
⑵ This dictionary is
five times
as thick as the one you bought
。
⑶ Our factory is
twice
as big as theirs
。

② 倍數+
as +many +可數名詞複數+as
+被比物件：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
例子：
⑴There are
seven times
as many people as I expected
。
⑵ There are
six times
as many students as we expected
。
⑶He has got
three times
as many books as his sister
。
② 倍數+as +many +可數名詞複數+as+被比物件：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
③ 倍數+
as + much +不可數名詞+as
+被比物件：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
例子：
⑴ There is
five times
as much coffee in this glass as in that one
。
⑵ We’ve produced
twice
as much cotton this year as last year
。
⑶ There is
four times
as much water in this pot as in that one
。
③ 倍數+as + much +不可數名詞+as+被比物件：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
④ 倍數+
形容詞(或副詞)的比較級+than
+被比物件：比。。。大幾倍
例子：
⑴ The hall is
five times
bigger than our classroom
。
⑵ The car runs
twice
faster than that truck
。
⑶ This rope is
four times
longer than that one
。
④ 倍數+形容詞（或副詞）的比較級+than+被比物件：比。。。大幾倍
⑤ 倍數+
more+名詞+than
+被比物件：比。。。多幾倍
例子：
⑴ There are
nine times
more books in his bag than in yours
。
⑵He earns
five times
more money than he did ten years ago
。
⑶ There are
twice
more students in our class than in theirs
。
⑤ 倍數+more+名詞+than+被比物件：比。。。多幾倍
⑥
計量名詞+of+名詞
+be+倍數+that +of+被比物件：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
例子：
⑴
The size of the new square
is
five times
that of the old one。
⑵
The length of Brown Street
is
four times
that of Apple Street。
⑶
The height of this hill
is
six times
that of that small one。
⑥計量名詞+of+名詞+be+倍數+that +of+被比物件：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
⑦ 倍數+
what 從句
：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
例子：
⑴ The length of the road is
four times
what it was three years ago
。
⑵The production is now
three times
what it was ten years ago
。
⑶ The price of the meat is
twice
what it was last year.
⑦ 倍數+what 從句：和。。。的幾倍一樣大小
⑧ 倍數 +over + 被比物件：比。。。大幾倍
例子：
⑴The fruit output in that village is
twice
over
that of 2002。
⑵ The size of the sun is
a million times
over
that of the earth。
