詞彙漫談
雙語橋作原著導讀，屬於閱讀系列，大家讀到新詞，自己查其實最好。我這裡就做點詞語，意在拋磚引玉：
1） “give /drop sb a hint ”此意為“給某人以某種暗示”，“take a/the hint ”則為“領會其意並行之”，“get the hint ”僅為“明白其意”。
2）disgruntled /dsɡrntld/ adjective 此詞表不滿意態度，特別指事情不為所願的方向發展。如某公司連續減發工資，員工們變得不樂意了（The employees were becoming disgruntled。）。
3）brandish /brnd/ verb 該詞很有意思，特指以一種威脅或者危險的方式揮舞某物。
如：A man leapt out，
brandishing
a kitchen knife。
一個男人跳了出來，
