“軟飯男”可不要以為是“soft man”！會錯意可就糗大了！

日前鄭爽和男友張恆合開的新公司被曝光，鄭爽任大股東！然後有網友說張恆吃軟飯，鄭爽男朋友公開發博迴應，並配圖否認自己是軟飯男：

一起來學習下“吃軟飯”或“軟飯男”怎麼說？

1。 kept man

英文釋義：a white boy from the suburbs that marries a rich lady。 His job is to pleasure her and be eye candy。 She in returns takes care of all his financial needs。

“kept man”是一種很正式的說法，表示“小白臉，軟飯男”，女性通常比較富有，可以支撐另一半的所有花銷。

kept（keep） 在這裡是“be supported， be raised， be grown”的意思。

Ben marries Carmen Electra。 He gives her every thing that she needs physicaly and she gives him every thing he needs financialy。 Ben is Carmen‘s kept man。

相應的“kept woman“表示“情婦”的意思，完全依靠男性而生活的女性。

2。 toy boy

字面意思是“玩具男孩”，但實際指的就是我們平常說的“小白臉”，“toy boy”類似於那種姐弟戀，男生通常要比女生小很多。

英文釋義：The boyfriend of an older woman。

My friend Mary dates a guy who’s 11 years younger than her。

我的朋友Mary與一個比她小11歲的小夥子約會了。

3。 live off women/a woman

在英譯作品《吃軟飯》中這樣說道：

”Eating soft food“ namely means where men live off women， and from time-to-time pick up a few crumbs from them。 Some specialists say that the emergence of this phenomenon denotes social progress。 Men have had their patriarchy for thousands of years。 Now it is the turn of women to leap up like a carp – to suddenly flip up in their strength。

男人靠女人養活，或者男人時不時地揩點女人的油水，謂之“吃軟飯”。有專家說，此種現象的出現，是社會的進步，因為男權幾千年了，也該女人鯉魚打挺——猛翻身了。

可見，在這裡，我們可以把“吃軟飯”理解為“live off women”：

to live off sb。 依靠某人生活

He was living off his parents。

他當時依靠他的父母生活。

4。 male escort或paid escort

從字面意思來看可以理解為“男性陪同或帶薪陪同”，引申義為“軟飯男，小白臉”：

escort在這裡指“受僱陪同某人外出社交的人（尤指女人）”

He escorted her round London。

他陪她在倫敦遊覽了一圈。
