英語中的“上面”和“下面”：above 和 over，under 和 below

今天要說的這幾個副詞，above 和 over 是“在上方”的意思，under 和 below 是在“在下面”的意思，是討論副詞哦。老師給我們說過：介詞的話後面會跟名詞代詞動名詞，副詞後面就不用了。

先看一個圖吧：

都相對於桌子

從圖中可以直觀地看出：

1. over 表示“正上方”

，不接觸的上方↑↑，例如：

She heard a bird fly

over

。

她聽到有隻鳥從頭上飛過。

Every king has a Sword of Morcles hanging

over

。

每個君主都有一把莫克里斯之劍懸於頭頂。

2. under 表示“正下方”

She pulled up the quilt and crawled

under.

她掀起被子鑽了進去。

under

還可以特指“在水下”或者“向水下”，例如：

Staying

under

too long is dangerous for a diver。

在水下停留時間過長對潛水員來說，是很危險的。

The ship was going

under

and everyone was hopeless。

輪船開始下沉，所有人都絕望了。

3. above 表示“上方”

但不必正對著的上方，當然正上方也可以用 above，可以認為 above 表示的位置包括 over，但是 above 給人一種空間很高、距離很遠的感覺。

The cars look like insects from

above

。

騎車從上方看起來像甲殼蟲。

Every thing seems brilliant with the bright sun

above

。

在明亮的陽光下，一切都顯得耀眼。

4. below 表示"在下方"

和 above 一樣，below 表示在下方的時候，比一定是正下方，還可以是相對的“低處”

The bed was blown to the yard

below

。

床被吹到了下面的院子裡。
