stay 的使用方法

stay 有逗留，保留，停留這幾個意思。作為及物動詞，可以單獨使用，常用結構 stay to do sth。留下來做……。例如，Sorry ，I am too busy to stay。對不起我太忙了，不能留下。He stayed to take care of the baby。他留下來照顧寶寶。作為系動詞時，意思為“保持……的狀態”，後面接名詞，形容詞作為表語，強調一種狀態。例如：Stay smart and dilient。保持聰明勤奮。He stays my best friend forever。他永遠是我最好的朋友。其次stay 也可以作為名詞，表示逗留。例子：We only want to make a short stay here。我們只想在這裡做短暫的逗留。
