我對某事已經習慣了，這件事對我不是新的，習以為常，

Frank lives alone。

（單身狗） Frank 獨居。

He doesn’t mind this because he has lived alone for 15 years。

他不介意因為他已經獨居15年了。（萬年單身狗）

He is used to it。

他已經習慣（獨居）了。

He is used to living along。

他已經習慣獨居了

這個短語在使用上要注意兩點

第一： 和used to 區分開， I used to do something， 主語 後面直接跟 used

今天這個是 He is used to something， 主語後面要加 be 動詞 （am/is/are）， 然後再加 used

第二： used to 後面是可以加動詞原形的，但是 is used to 的後面 要跟 名詞 或者代詞（例如前面的 it）或者 動名詞 （living along），不可以直接用 動詞原形 live。

再多看幾個加深一下理解。

I bought some new shoes。 They felt a bit strange at first because I wasn‘t used to them。

我買了新鞋。他們起初感覺有一些奇怪，因為我對他們還不習慣。

這個例子中的三句話都是一般過去時，所以這裡用的是 I wasn’t used to them。

這也是我們以後要說的一個話題，時態要一致。

Barbara‘s husband is often away from home。 She doesn’t mind this。 She is used to him being away。

Barbara的丈夫經常不在家。她對此並不介意。她已經習慣他不在了。

be used to something = get used to something

可以把 be 換成 get，意思是一樣的

Our new flat is on a very busy street。 I expect we‘ll get used to the noise， but at the moment it’s very disturbing。

我們的新公寓在一條繁忙的街道上。我期望我們能夠習慣噪音，但是現在非常干擾（分散我們的注意力）
