place in 2020。 In the categories of comprehensive competitiveness， industrial economy， manufacturing， quality of new urbanization， business environment and moderately prosperous life， Xinmi has been listed among the top 100 counties （cities） in China。 Xinmi has also ranked at the forefront of the province’s county-level cities in economic development quality， scale level， structural benefits， potential and vitality， and the people‘s happiness index。
堅定不移推動產業轉型升級，不斷髮展壯大製造業，新材料、裝備製造、節能環保等主導產業，佔全市經濟比重達46%。持續提升服務業，全域旅遊、電子商務、現代物流等加快發展，創成國家3A、4A級景區7家、省級旅遊度假區兩個，被授予國家電子商務進農村綜合示範縣（市）。穩步推進現代農業，糧食總產保持穩定，土地流轉率達30%，建成現代農業示範園52個，創成省農產品質量安全縣（市）。

The passage of time marks the great steps of progress。 Moving on past the current five-year period， Xinmi always aims towards the future。 Looking ahead， a “dual circulation” development pattern will be established in which the domestic economic cycle plays a central role， supported by the international economy。 The strategies for the rise of central China， ecological protection and the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin， and the construction of Zhengzhou as a national central city will all continue at an accelerating pace， bringing unprecedented development opportunities for Xinmi。
打造硬體優勢，市域空間佈局進一步最佳化，新密城鎮化率由52.9%提升到64.1%，國家新型城鎮化綜合試點縣（市）透過驗收。城市品質不斷提升，完成國土綠化11.7萬畝，森林覆蓋率達44%，獲評省森林城市、省園林城市和國家生態文明建設示範縣（市）；溱水路西延、開陽路南延等56條市政道路竣工通車。路網支撐持續加強，新增幹線公路131公里，商登高速、國道343等重點工程竣工通車，路網密度由每平方公里2.21公里提高到2.48公里、居省市前列，高速公路出入口達到8個，交通區位優勢更加凸顯。
激發市場活力，營商環境不斷最佳化。新密創新創業綜合體投入運營，建成省級創新載體14個、院士工作站4家、研發機構160家，科技進步對經濟增長貢獻率達62%。累計引進域外境內資金902.5億元，實際吸收境外資金11億美元，外貿進出口27.3億元，獲評省對外開放先進縣（市）。大力實施質量強市戰略，榮獲全省首家質量強市示範縣（市）。
五年來，新密綜合實力持續提升。縣域經濟在全國百強縣排名由2016年首次進入95位，上升到2020年的第62位。綜合競爭力、工業經濟、製造業、新型城鎮化質量、營商環境、全面小康等入圍全國縣（市）百強。經濟發展質量、規模水平、結構效益、潛力活力、民生幸福評價指數連年穩居全省縣（市）前列。
